Maharaja Private Stock: Leather, Cedar and a Beard Baron Favorite
Some scents begin with an idea. Maharaja came from years of requests for a leather scent. I didn't simply want to make something that smelled strongly of leather, though. I wanted a blend that captured its richness and character while still being smooth enough to wear every day.
The answer was Maharaja. Built around a simple pairing of leather and cedar, Maharaja became one of the more distinctive scents within our Private Stock collection. And after some time away, I'm happy to say the complete Maharaja collection is returning to The Beard Baron.
Leather Meets Cedar
Leather is unmistakably the character behind Maharaja, but it doesn't stand alone.
Cedar adds warmth and a familiar woodsy quality that smooths the blend and makes Maharaja much more wearable than you might expect from a leather-forward scent. The result is rich and masculine with a refined, almost cologne-like quality.
It's luxurious. A little mysterious. Distinctive without being overpowering. And while Maharaja feels particularly at home as the weather turns cooler, I've always considered it a remarkably versatile scent. Day or night, dressed up or casual, there's no wrong season for it.
