The Classic You May Have Overlooked
Imperial has quietly held its place in The Beard Baron since 2015.
In the years since its introduction, we've created dozens of scents. Some immediately command attention. Others become favorites slowly, discovered by customers who decide to try something they may have passed over before.
Imperial has always been one of those scents. Built around amber, cherry and tobacco, it's one of the most distinctive blends in our Classic Collection and one we probably haven't talked about nearly enough.

From Private Stock to a Classic
Imperial wasn't originally intended to become a permanent part of The Beard Baron lineup. It debuted October 1st, 2015 as a limited Private Stock release, built around the same combination of amber, cherry and tobacco that defines it today. Like all Private Stock releases at the time, once it was gone, it was supposed to be gone.
Imperial had other plans. The response to that original release eventually brought it out of Private Stock and into the Classic Collection, where it has remained ever since.
That's part of what makes Imperial interesting more than a decade later. It didn't become a Classic because we decided it needed to be one before anyone had tried it. It earned its way there.
Amber. Cherry. Tobacco.
The inspiration behind Imperial has always been simple: opening a fresh box of sweet cigars.
Not the smoke of a burning cigar, but that rich aroma when the box first opens. Warm tobacco, a touch of sweetness and the unmistakable character of something that feels classic and refined.
Amber creates the warm foundation of Imperial. Tobacco brings richness and depth. Then there's the cherry.
And the cherry is important. It doesn't turn Imperial into a sugary or overly sweet scent. Instead, it softens the tobacco and brings just enough sweetness to give the blend its distinctive character. The result is rich and masculine, but remarkably smooth.

A Different Kind of Fall Scent
When cooler weather arrives, it's easy to gravitate toward woods, smoke and spice. We certainly have plenty of those scents in The Beard Baron collection. Imperial offers something different.
The amber, cherry and tobacco give it warmth without relying on evergreen woods or heavy spice. There's a subtle sweetness to it, but the tobacco keeps the blend grounded. It's equally at home on a cool autumn afternoon as it is heading out for the evening.

If you've been curious about tobacco scents but hesitant because you expect something particularly strong or heavy, Imperial is an excellent place to start.
Likewise, if you enjoy a touch of sweetness but don't want your beard care smelling sugary, this blend occupies a very comfortable middle ground.
Quietly Becoming a Favorite
Perhaps that's why Imperial has developed such a loyal following over the years.
It isn't necessarily the scent everyone tries first. But once someone discovers how the amber, cherry and tobacco work together, Imperial has a habit of finding its way into the regular rotation.

That's something worth emphasizing. We talk about Imperial more during fall because this is unquestionably a season where it shines. Cooler temperatures seem to suit its warmth and richness particularly well.
