Two longtime Private Stock favorites are back at The Beard Baron. Foss and Huntsman both date back to 2018 and have made several returns to the shop over the years. While both feel right at home during fall and winter, they approach the season from two very different directions.
Foss: The Cooler Side of Fall

Foss, which is Icelandic for “waterfall,” lives up to the feeling and power of its namesake.Foss is fresh, crisp and remarkably smooth. Lime and basil bring a cool, refreshing character to the blend while pine and sandalwood add an earthy, woodsy depth.
It’s an easy choice for someone who wants a fall scent that feels fresh and invigorating rather than traditionally warm.
Huntsman: A Private Stock Favorite
Cedar • Oak Moss • Amber
Huntsman takes fall in a warmer direction. Cedar and oak moss give the scent its distinctly woodsy character while amber brings a smooth warmth and richness to the blend. Over the years, Huntsman has developed a loyal following, becoming something of a cult classic within our Private Stock collection. Eight years later, customers continue asking us to bring it back.
Which One Is for You?
If you prefer something fresh, crisp and cool, start with Foss. If you’re drawn to something warm, rich and woodsy, Huntsman is probably more your style. Or, of course, there’s nothing wrong with having a little of both.
