As summer begins to wind down and cooler evenings slowly return, Windsor feels right at home. First introduced to The Beard Baron Private Stock collection last fall, Windsor is one of the newer scents in our lineup. It arrived during one of the busiest times of the year and never quite received the introduction it deserved. So as we begin another fall season, we wanted to give Windsor a proper Scent Spotlight.
Windsor was inspired by the warmth and character of a well-aged whiskey barrel. Rich bourbon sets the foundation of the scent, followed by the deeper, slightly smoky character of charred oak. Vanilla rounds out the blend, adding a smooth warmth that brings everything together without making Windsor overly sweet. The result is a rich, full-bodied scent with plenty of depth. It feels refined without being formal and distinctive without needing to announce itself.
If you enjoy warm, masculine scents with a little weight behind them, Windsor is an easy one to reach for as the seasons begin to change.
Bourbon isn’t entirely new to The Beard Baron scent collection. Longtime customers may already know it as part of Capulet, where it is paired with sandalwood. Windsor takes bourbon in a different direction.
The addition of charred oak gives Windsor a deeper wood character, while vanilla smooths out the edges of the blend. Where Capulet has its own distinguished sandalwood character, Windsor leans into the warmth of the barrel itself.
For anyone who enjoys Capulet, Windsor is certainly worth exploring, but the two have distinctly different personalities.
Unlike our Classic scents, Private Stock gives us the opportunity to explore blends outside our year-round collection. Some return seasonally, some make an appearance after time away and occasionally something entirely new joins the lineup. Windsor became part of that tradition when it debuted last fall.
Its combination of bourbon, charred oak and vanilla made it a natural fit for the cooler months, and we’re excited to give it more room to shine this season. You don’t have to wait for the first truly cold day to start reaching for warmer scents.
Late summer has always been one of our favorite times to begin making that transition. The days may still be warm, but the evenings start getting a little cooler and the first signs of the season ahead begin to appear. That’s where Windsor fits particularly well.
It’s warm and substantial without feeling reserved only for the coldest days of the year. Whether you’re heading out for the evening or simply ready to bring something richer back into your daily grooming routine, Windsor offers an easy way to start the shift into fall.
For this weekend’s Scent Spotlight, we’re making the entire Windsor Collection 20% off. It’s an opportunity to revisit one of the newest additions to Private Stock or experience Windsor for the first time. Bourbon. Charred oak. Vanilla.
A smooth, full-bodied blend inspired by the warmth and depth of a well-aged whiskey barrel. If Windsor passed you by when it debuted last fall, now is the perfect time to give it a closer look.
